The 2005-07 curriculum is evolving to provide integration of the technical and design aspects of the Landscape Architecture profession. Technical education in this case includes site engineering, construction technology, construction materials, and computing. The faculty has identified learning objectives and built courses around areas of related and connected knowledge and skill. In this way, students have an opportunity to understand the relevancy and experience the skill and knowledge that the presentation of new course material in an "on demand/as needed" way facilitates.

"... all learning does not occur at the same pace or through the same means. True learning is holistic, not segmented into discreet facts and skills applicable only to specific tasks. True learning grows in an environment of trust where students and teachers perceive a freedom to inquire and to collaborate in a common interest for whatever time it takes to achieve a level of satisfaction."
Evan Garrett, "A Real Paradigm Shift," The Teaching Professor, January 1997.

The five-year Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree program has a strong environmental analysis and design core based upon a foundation of courses in the arts, sciences, and humanities.
